Why We Built This
The supplement industry generates over $50 billion a year, and most of the information available online is produced by the companies selling the products. That creates an obvious conflict of interest — and a real problem for anyone trying to figure out what actually works.
Supplements Corner was built to close that gap. We publish research-backed guides that start with the clinical evidence, not the marketing copy. Across 100 articles covering magnesium, protein, nootropics, joint health, sleep, skincare, and more, every recommendation traces back to published studies — and we link directly to those studies so you can verify our claims yourself.
Our Editorial Team
Supplements Corner is produced by a small editorial team focused exclusively on supplement research. We are not doctors, pharmacists, or dietitians — and we don't pretend to be. What we are is a team of research editors who read clinical literature for a living.
Our background is in research analysis and science communication. We spend our days reading randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses on PubMed and the Cochrane Library, then translating that evidence into clear, actionable guidance. We understand study design, statistical significance, and the difference between a well-powered RCT and a preliminary pilot study — and we make sure our recommendations reflect that hierarchy of evidence.
We believe credibility comes from the work itself: the studies we cite, the methodology we follow, and the transparency we practice. Every article includes direct links to the PubMed research that informed our conclusions.
Important disclaimer
Our content is educational, not medical advice. We are not licensed healthcare providers. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting any supplement — especially if you take medications, are pregnant, or have a medical condition.
How We Research
Every article follows a structured editorial process. This isn't just a claim — it's described in detail on our Editorial Policy page. Here's the summary:
Step 1 — Literature review. We search PubMed, Google Scholar, and the Cochrane Library for peer-reviewed studies on the supplement topic. We prioritize randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and systematic reviews. When only observational or animal data exists, we say so explicitly.
Step 2 — Dosage verification. We compare clinically studied dosages against what commercial products actually contain. If a study used 600 mg of ashwagandha root extract and a product contains 300 mg, we note the gap. Many supplements are underdosed relative to the research — we flag this consistently.
Step 3 — Product evaluation. For comparison and "best of" articles, we evaluate supplement facts panels, third-party testing certifications (NSF, USP, ConsumerLab), manufacturing standards (GMP), ingredient forms, and bioavailability. We explain why magnesium glycinate absorbs differently than magnesium oxide, or why methylfolate matters more than folic acid for some people.
Step 4 — Clear recommendations. We rank products based on evidence fit, quality, and value — not brand recognition or affiliate commission rates. When the evidence is mixed or insufficient, we say so directly rather than hedging with "everyone is different."
How We Use AI Tools
We use AI-assisted tools in our research and writing workflow. AI helps us with initial literature searches, draft structuring, and data organization. However, every factual claim, every cited study, and every product recommendation is verified by our editorial team against primary sources. AI does not make our editorial decisions — it helps us work more efficiently while we maintain full responsibility for accuracy.
How We Make Money
Supplements Corner is reader-supported through the Amazon Associates affiliate program. When you click a product link in our articles and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This is what funds our research and keeps the site running.
Here's what matters: affiliate relationships never influence our recommendations. We research and select products based on evidence first. If the best product doesn't have an affiliate program, we recommend it anyway. We never accept paid placements, sponsored reviews, or money from supplement brands.
You can read our complete affiliate disclosure and ranking methodology in our Editorial Policy.
What We Don't Do
We don't sell supplements. We don't accept paid placements or sponsored content. We don't provide personalized medical advice. We don't make health claims that aren't supported by published research. And we don't recommend products we wouldn't take ourselves.
Corrections and Accountability
If you find an error in any of our articles — a broken citation, an outdated product, a misrepresented study — we want to hear about it. Accuracy is the foundation of everything we do, and we take corrections seriously.
Email us at [email protected] with the article URL and the specific issue. We review every correction request and update articles when errors are confirmed.
